Dave
Bernardi was born in Aberdeen, Scotland, his unique style
of energetic Tech House, has had him working with several
labels over the past year. In between production he runs
a club night called Futuro along with friend Fraser Shaw
in one of Edinburgh’s biggest clubs, both Dave and
Fraser Shaw hold a monthly residency along with DJ Huggy
of XFM Scotland.
As a DJ Dave Bernardi will be making his first Ibiza appearance
at Eden in September 2006 along with Kuffdam & Plant,
and Marc Van Linden of Vandit Records and DJSA Records label
boss Steve Anderson.
In 2005 Dave, eager to get involved into production, teamed
up with long time friend and guitarist Neil Young. Their
first Production "Circles of Life" reached number
9 in the Finish iTunes Electronic Charts. Released on digital
label Total Wipes Productions in Italy, the EP was released
worldwide to promote his name in the EU and USA market.
Since then under the alias Futuro Disko, Dave and Neil Young
have completed two remix projects ‘’Damrak’’
and ‘’Shake My Head’’ for artists
on the Total Wipes roster and another ‘’Posse’’
for partnership label Disturbance Records.
By the end of 2005 Dave’s productions were attracting
interest from several record companies, the first being
UK Dance label DJSA Records. In April 2006 his first release
on the label ‘’Solstice’’ went to
number 1 in the Juno download charts and number 8 in the
Godbrain distribution charts.
In January 2006 Dave’s music grabbed the attention
of Beatpick boss David D’Atri who licensed four of
his productions for commercial and non commercial use to
Filmmakers, Open Source developers, audiovisual artists,
and students.
In April 2006, Dave was invited to work on a digital EP
by UK House label owner Scott Harrington of Influential
House Recordings, and a single release for California based
dance label boss Harout Pogossian of DHV Records, both releases
will be out in 2006 as well as his second release on DJSA
Records.
